DigiBox SCV-3 - TV Standards Converter Genlockable, Composite & S-Video In plus YUV & SECAM Out
DigiBox SCV TV Standards Converters provide cost-effective high-quality conversion between most worldwide TV Standards which may have different Line and Field rates such as PAL and NTSC. They all provide Composite Input and Output whilst the more expensive units also provide S-Video (YC) input and Analogue Component (Y, Cr, Cb) outputs.
All our DigiBox SCV Standards Converters have sufficient memory to provide proper interpolation between frames providing results that look as good as units costing many times the amount. This should be borne in mind when comparing with other low-cost devices which may convert between different frame and line rates by duplicating or missing out frames and / or lines resulting in movement such as camera pans, which are often jumpy, pictures in the wrong aspect ratio and poor colour rendition.
The DigiBox SCV-3 provides near-broadcast quality conversion and is equipped with 12MB motion memory. It has two sets of Composite / S-Video inputs each with auto-selection and each with unbalanced stereo audio, which can be pushbutton selected to be converted to Composite, S-Video and Analogue Component (Y, Cr, Cb) outputs.
It converts between most worldwide broadcast television standards including NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, PAL-B/G/I, PAL-M, PAL-N and SECAM with auto-selection of input TV standard and pusbbutton-selection of output standard. It has 12MB field memory to give excellent motion interpolation whilst a digital comb filter decodes input video for optimum resolution. It also has Genlock capability for synchronizing multiple sources for use with vision mixers. Pushbuttons provide control of Brightness, Contrast, Colour, Tint (NTSC) plus Genlock Horizontal and Vertical timing. The TBC (framestore Timebase Corrector / Synchronizer) is active in all modes (including bypass) to provide stable output at all times. Colour bars automatically appear at the output when there is no input signal present.
