TSP-100 High Grade Broadcast SECAM > PAL Transcoder

The TSP-100 transcoder is a high grade broadcast SECAM to PAL composite video converter designed for the television studio. Accepting either SECAM IIIB or SECAM H/2 composite video in, the TSP-100 produces three outputs of PAL composite video or optionally one composite and one YC output.

The SECAM decoder employs a precision subcarrier filter with patent overshoot suppression to give exceptionally clean SECAM decoding with some 40dB of subcarrier rejection and little cross-colour.

The broadcast PAL encoder produces 3 outputs of PAL composite video synchronized  to the PAL black-burst or subcarrier reference input. S double-edge horizontal enhancer is switchable on the luminance channel and permanently operates on the chrominance signal. An automatic bypass feeds the input directly to the output if the input standard is PAL, if the incoming subcarrier is too low, or if the mains power fails. The transcoder is not affected by test lines or videotext. Adjustment is simple and stability excellent.

Housed in a 1U high rackframe or available as Eurocard modules for installation in a 3U frame, the TSP-100 is optionally available with colour bars generator and YUV component output.
