SPG-100 Genlock & Master Sync Pulse Generator The SPG-100 sync pulse generator is a cost-effective Eurocard-based SPG providing 3 outputs of Black and Burst / Colour Black with the option of a full set of video synchronization pulses for broadcast and studio equipment such as coders, mixers and telecines. There are three grades of oscillator available making versions suitable for stand-alone, broadcast and professional applications. All versions are genlockable with guaranteed SC-H phase. |

The SPG-100/GP genlock sync pulse generator has been specifically developed to give a low-cost method of timing sources to studios. Both horizontal and subcarrier phase are adjustable from the front panel with LED to indicate H and SC lock. Model SPG-100/SP with ovened oscillator for stand-alone use is designed for use as a Master SPG and can be supplied in a portable 12V DC powered housing for ENG applications. Model SPG-100/XP with high precision ovened oscillator for stand-alone use has an enhanced long-term stability which ensures that subcarrier frequency will drift by less than 1Hz over a 12 month period due to ageing of the crystal. It is designed for use as a Master SPG for critical and unattended applications such as at transmitter sites, where free-run subcarrier frequency is of high importance. The VX-BB6 Black and Burst Generator The VX-BB6 Black and Burst generator is a stand-alone, low-cost source of black and burst colour video, to reference S-VHS, Hi-8 and offline editing suites in situations where genlock operation or guaranteed Sc-H phase relationship is not necessary. Mains powered, it is housed in a small desktop enclosure and provides 3 black & burst outputs on 75 Ohm BNCs. Subcarrier frequency is crystal controlled and is locked to syncs within the capture window of the oscillator (which can be adjusted), after which it free-runs. HS-2 Hum-Stop Hum Eliminator The HS-2 Hum-Stop is a custom-wound "hum-bucking" coil intended to reduce the level of mains hum acquired by video cables linking areas or buildings with differing earth potentials, and in any situation where long video cables (over 5 metres) pick up induced mains hum. It is a passive device which eliminates up to 15 volts of superimposed or induced hum, yet it is virtually transparent to the video signal. The small size and robust packaging make the HS-2 suitable for studio and OB applications, and a rack adapter is available for rear-of-rack mounting of up to 4 coils. |
